finished my first amp

Post by backpack »

So I finished my weber Halle I got a few weeks back.
If anyone has ever built one what did you change?
The PI is way out of phase and was wondering if I should
drop some pots in there. The mv sucks and was thinking
of doing a post pi mv as well. any input would be awesome.

Put up some pics so we can see what you've got. It's generally best to get the basic amp working right before you start modding it.

I will get some pics posted up tomorrow. I have been playing it for about a
week and it sounds good and has a great lead sound loaded with el34.
lots of adjustment points and stuff to play with. I got it going with little to
no drama wich was a suprise. This was my first complete amp that I built
and I realy learned alot from it. Had it not been for my uncles help and
this board I would have never been able to complete it. It doesnt look as
good as some poeples builds but next time I wont build such a crammed
amp and will take alot more time working on lead dress. Just deciding on
what real dumble plan to build now.

It's okay if your wiring is not the best this is your first amp and we all have been there.

I was just interested in seeing what this amp kit looks like in a gut shot.
How were the components. From what I have seen Weber's quality has gone up. Are the transformers Heyboer or Chinese-Weber stuff?
