I have seen references to mega-boost. I assume it refers to the PAB and from what I can read on here, it looks like the PAB board is fed from the mid pot rather than the treble.
Does anyone recommend it, my amp is an HRM with HRM lifted via a switch, where it stays 95% of the time.
Can anyone explain the difference in feel tone and volume from the standard PAB?
If you have a clip that would be great .
I had the chassis out yesterday for some tweaking and lifted V2a snubber, seems more dynamic with just the one snubber.
This got me thinking about the mega boost, in the quest for bloom and flipping
As the name suggests, it is quite a large boost in db. Used in the BM HRM circuit where the gain of the OD is not as much as the non HRM. Alot of BM users reduce the 22meg lift down to @72K to give @6db of boost. This way you can use the boost in isolation of the OD if you want to

Thanks Doc, there's plenty of gain right now, in HRM it's just sick
Probably leave the PAB alone then, I don't really need a huge dB jump.
I just like exploring all the options.
Cheers
