One More #183 Build

Post by 67plexi »

I would like to personally thank Tony for the hard work on his layouts.
Well it’s time for the burn in test and voltage adjustment and debug stage.
One change is the Dagnall C-1998 output transformer it is ½” taller than the original.

Thanks’ to all, Steve. :D

It past the burn test v-2 is 55volts to high will have to play with the dropping string.
Tony is 100% on the 2-35 CTS pots Wow!
With the start up tubes and the bench test speaker and Telecaster it Rip’s.
33uf @ 450 like a 1966 Super Lead 1959 it has the raw
Fender Tweed bite to it. Can’t wait to load it with Mullards.
Loud as hell I’m happy
It was quite the challenge to source the exact value pots.
Every function works as it should.

Take care, Steve. :D

Nice work!
You're going to love it. I look forward to playing mine everyday.
They are loud, I play mine with the Vol. and Master Vol. on about 8:00 each and it still sounds great.

Yeah, no kidding.
If I didn't have a Dumbleator, my 100w would be just about unplayable.
It seems as soon as you crack the master open it gets crazy loud!

This is the rig #124 and #183 the two complement each other tone wise.
The next step is two Dumbelators for the Lexicon.

Steve. :D
