Please take a look Bob, Skip, Scott, and others with build experience. This sucker going to fit? I have a nibbler and lots of metalworking experience and tools.

If you put the Federal Government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years time there would be a shortage of sand.

I'm sure it would fit, but at $80, why bother? Doesn't Funkalicious have some "real" Dumble chassis on the way? (Or you could PM Allyn for one of his blank aluminum boxes. 19.25" x 7.5" x 2.5". They are a thing of beauty!)

It should work fine. My own preference is to get something a little deeper. With those raised boards, extra filter caps and switches, it's nice to have a little headroom. Remember that chassis is designed for a doghouse filter box on top of the amp.
$80 seems kind of dear to not include any of the extras. I usually get a slab of 1/8" aluminum, drill the holes and have the same sheet metal shop bend and weld the corners. I have to do a couple hours work but the holes are where I want them (well, usually). Total price around $50.

Thanks Norm, I would really rather use one of Funks beautys but I have of late begun to dispair of getting a real start on my amp. Funk has experienced some delays.Normster wrote:I'm sure it would fit, but at $80, why bother? Doesn't Funkalicious have some "real" Dumble chassis on the way? All good points by you'se guys about cost and the shallow chassis. I had thought about getting a Showman type above board cap cover for the PS caps. Still, the damn thing really doesn't leave much room for the components on the turret board.
Be patient Dan.
Thanks
