giving back...
I would like to give something back to the ampgarage community - I will offer to do a run of chassis and deliver them at my cost + shipping and Paypal charges, powder coated and silkscreened with no logo. I would need a minimum of 10, and there is a good price break at 25. I've attached the full solid works 3D model of the design, if someone wants to take that and have their own built, that's fine too. (You can download a free solid works e-viewer to open the 3D models). I have an artwork file as well if anyone wants it. I can also offer head cabinets at cost, no minimum quantity for those.
Please PM me if you are interested, if there is enough I'll be happy to do the build.
Happy Holidays

Re: giving back...
From the sound of it - I absolutely needs some clips! Sent you a PM.
Re: giving back...
Good for you Bill.
I liked the clips you had of the 100 watter.
Sounds like a Marshall on steroids but with blackface cleans.
That should appeal to the anti-jazzers.

Re: giving back...
A very generous offer, Bill, and thanks for posting the files! It looks like you are set up for an integrated PCB that combines the main, power supply, and relay boards into one, and you have a grounding scheme that is different from HAD's. If that's correct, then some layout and drilling would be needed to adapt your chassis to the "standard" configuration, no?wjdunham wrote:I would like to give something back to the ampgarage community - I will offer to do a run of chassis and deliver them at my cost + shipping and Paypal charges, powder coated and silkscreened with no logo...
Re: giving back...
The grounding scheme is similar to HADs, but not identical, the hole locations may be slightly different and I may have a different number of them. So, yes, drilling holes for mounting the various PCB's and ground tabs is one thing that people who purchased the chassis would have to do themselves.
There is a PDF file that shows the flat piece of metal in the zip file I posted, if someone can print that out, mark the locations, scan it back and send it to me, I may be able to get my cad guy to put the holes in for the boards that are being offered on agbamplifiers.com site. I moved the OT holes around and added a buch to accommodate a few different OT's, so there may be some clearance issues in which case this may more work than I can get done for no charge, but if it's worth taking a look if people don't have the tools to drill the mounting holes.
Power supply is standard Twin size, choke, and everything else should be as expected.

Re: giving back...
For me personally, I would rather drill the few holes I need rather than have the chassis full of holes I don't need.
The holes for the eyelet boards are easy enough to do with a hand drill that I wouldn't mind that.
And people tend to size their boards differently due to the type or size of caps or added features such as reverb or FX loop.
Same goes for the OT mounting holes. Lots of different transformers with different sized feet.

Re: giving back...
Tom, that was my thinking as well, lots of variations and I figured someone capable of building their own amp would be able to drill the mounting holes.
It's looking like I'll get at least 10 chassis requesters, I think I'm up to six or seven already.
I've had a number of requests for the artwork, rather than respond with many PM's, here the eps file with no logo. I have the original Correl Draw file that was used to generate the eps, but I don't have a copy of CD and that file has my logo in it so I'd rather not post it. If someone has a copy and can edit the file to take the logo out, I can post that as well. Then people can change the text to their liking, add their own logo etc... PM me if you want to make the edits. This is the hi-res eps artwork that was used to create the silk-screen.

I think one thing that has not been mentioned thusfar, but that I'm certain is intended anyway, is to say "thank you, Bill." This is really a cool thing for you to offer, and I know there are a lot of us who wish we had something better to give back than just our opinions.
