Draining filter caps

Hi all,
I want to do some mods on my D-Lite44 build.
Could someone tell me what's the safiest way to disharge filter caps????

If you're first filtering node is a series cap with resistors in parralel it's already discharging. If not; a 150k or 220k 2W resistor across the first node and ground will be fine.

Or turn the amp off on the power switch - leave the standby switch on 'on' - And play your guitar through amp untill the tone dies away. That should drain the caps alltogether.

Do not assume that the caps have no charge unless you measure the voltage, even after draining by playing on standby. On a Dlite use the black
bias node for your ground ( insert the meter probe there ), then with one hand use the red probe to test the caps for voltage. Keep your other hand away from the chassis and do not touch the bench you are working on. Rubber soled shoes are a good idea and stay away from concrete floors for a bench set-up if at all possible. D'lites are designed to discharge automatically, but its good to learn the routine for testing the caps.

I always do it that way.Still check it with the meter,been hit once and I dont care for a second chance.
