I'd love to hear a real one or a good copy up close. Just the amp, no effects -- in the studio, bedroom, garage, etc, not at a gig. I've scoured the web looking for demo recordings, but either the recordings are bad or they have these very questionable backing tracks underneath. There's nothing like sitting in front of the speaker and listening. Just you or me playing the guitar.
I'll pick up lunch or a pizza or something and maybe a few pops if you're into it.

So you joined way back in 2007 and this is your first post?
Not sure what others will think but I would be hesitant in inviting someone I don't know into my home where I have a lot of time and money invested in my gear.
No offense intended, just my opinion.

No offense taken. I understand completely. Funny how things have changed in this country. I'm an old codger. Not nearly as friendly a place as it used to be.
I'm a trawler admittedly. I've enjoyed reading the posts on this forum, but its never been my intention to build or own a Dumble-type amp. Splendid devices to be sure. I just wonder what they really sound like. It just occurred to me that some brave soul out there might take a chance.

Yeah, sorry if I came off as a snob.
But in this day and age it seems as if there is a scam around every corner.
I would suggest that you use the search function for Dogears, in fact he posted a clip today that is very representative of the Dumble tone.
Of course the pros that have used Dumbles like Robben Ford and Larry Carlton.
I have never heard the real deal myself or played another clone although I built a 50w D'lite a few years ago.
As the title of the section indicates, this is a fan site for the enjoyment and construction of these unique amps.
Sometimes groups of guys get together and bring their amp.
Short of that if you live near Ultrasound Studios, they usually have hard to find amps there.
