Ok, I've been studying the #183 layout a good bit this weekend, and I feel something isn't right with the R/J switch. for one thing the 100k resistor that connects to the 1st leg of the treble pot is useless according to the layout. anyone else see this?
The R/J switch could be wired like the #102 layout and work, but I'd like to know why on #183 it was wired like being shown. what was HAD up to here.
I looked at the Ceriatone layout and it is shown like the #102 and #124 layouts. so ceriatone didn't even bother to figure it out.

Sounds like you just need to switch the two wires going to the common on the r/j switch side to side. This is providing everything else is wired correctly on the switches.
I just went and looked at those layouts, wire it like the 102 RF layout.
Tubedogsmith.
Are you saying if I just exchange the 2 center wires (common)of the r/j switch and keeping everything else as per the #183 layout, this will solve the problem I'm experiencing with this switch?

It makes sense now.
Thanks guys.
cool! glad you got it working. With switching it often really helps to draw it all out on paper. Layouts are OK to monkey things but often don't really tell you the why's.
