I labeled mine a tad different.

If you make the resistor too big it drops too much voltage and the relay won't pick.

Not sure I understand your drawing.

What is the light off with relay for?

If I want the led to light when I switch a relay on, I use the parallel resistor right?

I have 5v relays (x2) with a 8 volt regulated supply.

"light off with relay" means: relay on = led off, relay off = led on.

"light on with relay" means: relay on = led on, relay off = led off.

I use the "light on with relay", 100 ohm parallel resistor mechanism with a 6 volt regulator, 3 nte 5/6v relays, a 3 button 3 led 4 wire footswitch, and it works great.

True. My voltage is sitting at 12.2 solid as a rock.

I have one amp that I used the 5V tap for the relays. This amp barley has enough voltage to trigger the relay, so the drop of the LED puts it too low. I have light on=no relay. Both lights on, clean no PAB. Takes some getting used to but at least it works.

Yep.

Why is it so?

Nice build. One thing I find a little strange, is this. Why is the effects loop between the output transformer Z selector and the bias test points?

I thought a better spot would be where the speaker output jacks are. Of there could always be a cunning reason for this choice.

What are your favorite settings and what guitars do you use with this amp?
Yours Sincerely

Bob,
Did you use low current draw relays? I had this problem since mouser had the high current draw and low current draw 5v relays backwards. I ended up using somthing like 2200uf caps and that took care of it.

That's what happens when an amp "evolves" from a simple D'Lite into a D'Not-so-lite.

When we updated the chassis to include loop jacks, our silk-screen guy didn't switch the labels. Fortunately, it still works without any ill effect. If we ever burn through the first batch of chassis, we'll probably switch the labels on future runs.

Forum member Deric made the pcb boards for my relay setup.

I am running the power supply from the 5v taps of the PT.

It has a full wave rectifier and a 8v regulator.

The relays I used are the 653-G5V-2-H1-DC5 from Mouser.

They are the ultra sensitive ones rated at 30ma with a power consumption of approx 150mw.

This is the power supply for the relay boards.

I have a quick question. What do the three switches on the front panel do, I assume from left to right they are brightness, ? and the Jazz/Rock switch.

On the rear panel I assume it has to PAB, mid boost and OD?

Let me know about the order of the switches and how they effect the tone of the amp?
Yours Sincerely

I can answer that, 3-way bright, Deep, Rock/Jazz on the front.
OD, PAB, Mid-Boost on the back.
