I was wondering if a 4x 6V6 amp might be a better choice.

I know when I was contemplating a 4x 6L6 amp, I didn't really get it.
But after building it, I realized what everybody had told me, it just plain sounds better.
A fuller tone, and since Dumbles have a good master volume and when joined with a Dumbleator it really becomes an awesome amp even at lower volumes.

I have a 4x6V6 HRM I built quite awhile ago. It very well could be the way built it but I'm less than thrilled with the results. I have 2x6L6 amps that sound thicker and fatter.

What did you do for 1/2 buffered loop, just the send?
Yes, I am curious also?

Very nice looking build. Well done.

with respect, 10thtx
No I did a bufferred return, off the jack, through a 470k/68k voltage divider, right into the grid.

I think i need another triode for a full loop.

check out the finished product...I'll thank Mr Root for picking out this croc pattern...it's pretty crazy i couldn't resist using it. I have so much fancy suede here and loads of tolex but I just needed something covered in the wild canadian crocodile!

and the crocodile itch...is scratched!

this amp sounds pretty good! I'd like to drop the voltages about 10% but we'll see how it goes. I've always enjoyed the 102 circuit.

(oh, and yeah, thats the croc teeth behind the baffle!!!!) muahaha

I get my plates done at BNP lasers. They do a great job. I learned how to use Adobe Illustrator to create the design files and what I create comes back real life in the mail. The only bad thing is if there are mistakes, it's my fault! Luckily I already made the mistakes so now they are coming out perfect.

These are reverse engraved acrylic, but I got some metal ones a few months ago that look even cooler!

I didn't realize illustrator would work for them. Gotta get me a copy and start creating, thx.
