The Neutrik uses SOLID wire only. Requried an 110 punch to push the wires in. Recommend no larger than 22 gauge wire. And NO TEFLON.
They rear mount only and the holes for the mounting screws should be countersunk.

I have used them for years on my SOD II and the associated footswitch. They work great albeit at the price they should.

But the customer can run to walmart if they need a new footswitch cable.

Gary
Gary I got the jacks and haven't successfully found a good wire that will repeatedly make contact after being punched down. Should I just pull apart a solid core cat5e cable? Phone wire?

Yeah you should use a piece of solid core cat5e on those punch down connectors. Also, if you've attempted previous terminations, make sure you clear out any jacket material debris that might be left inside there.

I use 22 ga solid wire. Just make sure that the wire bottoms out in the slot. And it does take some force to get them to set correctly.

I use a cheap 22ga wire that has a thin jacket. I buy it from Circuit Specialists.

I haver been using this combination since 2009 and no issues.

Gary

I know Andy Fuchs uses something similar, maybe he has some other suggestions.
