You email them and complain and they will ship free for having to wait.

With the ebay site availability problem they told me they can't keep the quantity available updated at all times. But that is no excuse that you should have to wait for the product.

I don't go around complaining often but when this happened to me I did make the complaint this one time and they said they would refund the paypal shipping amount which they did.

I have and IMHO the MMags have a more solid low end(massive) - bear in mind that is not always the best thing though - some designs are much more lively with less iron.

Similar problem here - We had quite specifically discussed shipping method to Toronto and they agreed to use USPS Priority International, then turned around and sent it UPS. Well the UPS brokerage fee was almost as much as the trannie I bought. I complained and they refunded the cost of the brokerage since they had clearly messed up.

How do they do that?
I already paid through paypal.
Simple, they can issue a refund.

I just had that happen last week when a guy I bought a mike from had to go on a business trip before he could ship it. I politely asked if he could refund part of the shipping costs.

I got the OT and choke yesterday.
Triode shipped it USPS, priority mail.

Supposedly they are going to send the PT on Wednesday.

I normally get upset about something like this but since I'm not really ready for the soldering iron, I'm not in a rush to get it. But it if they string me along then I will have to lower the boom. :x

This is sort of a De Ja Vu, because a few years ago I had ordered a Lopoline 2 x 12 cab.
I bought it with the "Buy it Now" option.
It took them a few days to respond to me and then they said the cabinet was two weeks out.
I emailed them and said when I buy an item with the "Buy it Now", that item should be in stock ready to go.
They apologized about it but I wouldn't let them off the hook and they reimbursed the shipping cost to me.
Later I noticed on their ebay ads that they mention the fact that the cab is built to order.

I like the cheap Lopo Line cabs but they sure do make a lot of mistakes; however, they have taken care of everyone of the their mistakes. :)

Gabkits also made color choice mistakes on one of my 212 cabinets but they reimbursed me $50 in the process. Anthony and Gabi were good to work with.

I think these business need to slow down and take their orders properly.

Are you sure you want that? I've had 2 Lopo cabs and neither sounded all that great.

If I remember right Tom's Lopo Line 212 was a slant verticle, I have one coming this week. I am using that for my 18w head though not a Dumble or other high powered amp.

Bob-I are they too small is that the problem to use the Lopo Line?

I never really bonded with the Lopo cab.
The one I have is just their regular rectangle 2x 12.
The vertical or slant 2x 12 may sound better.

Especially after I got the two EVM 12L speakers.
They just sounded kind of boxy, sterile in that cab.
I know they use 3/4" plywood but it almost sounds like it's 1/2 inch.
In my opinion the cabinet is too small for two 12 inch speakers, especially when those two are EVM's.

If you recall, I put those speakers in my old VOX 2 x12 cab and they sound much better now.
It is a much larger cab and thicker wood helps it I think.

I like this more better now. :D

When I get my head cab for my new 100w amp, it will have that same grill cloth.

You see, when I tried ordering from their website, (Triode Electronics) the shipping came up to about $48. I emailed them and said I won't order from them if they charge that.
They came back with this reply: it is improperly adding the wrong shipping cost to the total. It is a mistake.

I wrote back and said, well, I can't imagine how many sales you have probably lost to the other reseller due to that error.

Then, when I saw the bundle in their ebay store that said there were 4 bundles left, I ordered them that way thinking that they must be two different entities because they say they have 4 complete sets left.

Uh no, another goof on their part.
They are out of the power transformer. Should ship it this coming Wednesday.
Come on people, is it that hard to subtract a unit from your shown inventory every time you sell one?

To their credit, at least they emailed me to let me know of the inventory problem and, they shipped quickly because I got the output and choke yesterday.

Funny thing is, I was going to order from Amp Parts Direct which is Magnetic Components other retail outlet and their website said they were out of the 1804 output transformer.
So when I saw that Triode had them in their ebay store, I went for it.

I don't know the problem, I just know that it never sounded right with the Dumble no matter what speaker was in it. I've heard one with a Vox type amp and a V30 that sounded great so it might just be the type of amp.

True to their word, Triode Electronics sent me an email saying they shipped my power transformer today.

I give them credit for good communication and keeping their word.
The small oversight of not keeping good inventory records can be over looked but I hope in the future that they improve on that score.

Had I had to bug them a bunch of times I would not have been pleased.
I would do business with them again.

They also have sent these items priority mail so two day service with tracking. :D

the mojotone twin ot sounds good to my ears both clean and overdriven. also, its convenient to have 4, 8 and 16 ohms secondaries. the magnetic components classictone twin ot (4/8/16) is also supposed to sound good from what I hear.

I have the Magnetic Components Deluxe Reverb-sized 4/8/16 OT in a 20W ODS I built and it sounds fantastic.
Wife: How many amps do you need?
Me: Just one more...
