Thanks, I learnt that if you clamp a straight edge on your plywood you can cut straight lines with a jig saw :D

also my covering let it down due to the nature of the Faux suede being a fabric.

It is very thin and has no give at all , and you can only apply glue to the cab, and not too much as it soaks through the fabric. So all in all I was fighting with everything.

With real suede and the proper glue I think I could have done a good job.

ah well, as they say , yo live and learn.....next time :D

tomorrow I'm fitting Alpha pots and putting her back to Classic.

TBC :D

not sure..why? don't think is was an alpha but the presence pot is linear anyway so wouldn't be affected by the taper so much.

It's an alpha.....a small one :D

Anyway. I've returned the amp to the Classic setup. I've also replaced the two volume pots for Alpha ones...wow what a difference that made...

I know it's psychological but I generally put everything at 12 O' clock to test and with the bourns pots it was very quiet. With the Alphas it's back to being how I think it should be.

so that's it I think....end of this thread.

going to redo the cabinet at some point but for now job done.

thanks to everyone for your help over the build.

thank you and good night :D

I asked because I haven't had any luck locating a 2K linear pot from any of my usual sources.

well that didn't take long...I've put it back to the skyliner specs :D

I also fitted the original F&T caps I'd bought so it's back to the 100w filtering.

What's the deal with the resistor and cap on the send return jacks? I've not seen this on any other ODS.

Are people generally putting this on their builds?

The 250p/220k will act like an attenuator with a bright cap when something is plugged into the send jack. If the Zin of the thing plugged in is high (~1M), as in the case of a D'lator, then it's not doing much at all. I think most people are leaving it out. I did ;^)
