"and of course if I do choose to build a Dumble style amp, the tone will finally be 100% nailed! "-Mr. Dumble

That's one of the funniest statements I've ever read on this forum.

No, I'm not, name some. You're here in this board, who here says that cause I've not read it from anyone but you. You make bold statements with nothing to back them up. It's like your crappy clips. You think if you keep talking about how great they are they will somehow become so. It's pretty much impossible to judge any amp from your clips.

Much like having a pork chop tied to your neck so the dog will play with you...
Now THAT's funny!

Here is one of my crappy clips (TwoRock Emerald pro. NO processing at all. Guitar/Amp/Mic/Boss recorder. No compressing, normalizing, etc etc.)

Lets here one of yours now. You know, back it up. Please, no processing of the sound. Just what you hear in the room. Looking forward to hearing it! :D

EDIT: Here is another one take, none retouched, 4 minute Dumble clip.

VERY GOOD.

All these cloners, and Carol Ann is the only one I know of who has posted direct A/B clips of his amp and a real dumble side by side. (GOOD for him!!)
And wasn't that very interesting. A 100W OD2 vs a 50W non-HRM 6L6 Dumble played by me through the same cab recorded the same way.
On the poll 85% of people got it 100% wrong on which was which, including some people you wouldn't expect.

Don't really know what that proved......I like to think maybe that clips mean nothing. The alternatives could be I don't play a non-HRM Dumble very well or some people may not be quite as clever as they think they are at regonizing an actual Dumble in every situation. I did try to get the tones of each as close as possible to each other.

Or that your amp sounded close to that Dumble. :)

Where are the mods?
This is an extremely valuable thread with great info but most of it is garbage.
Go to Facebook for that kind of discussion.

Tag has taken enough shots at Scott I'm surprised he has kept this open.
