Hand Built Amp Consistency

I've wondered about the consistency of the factory pcb amps.

Say if you took 4 Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissues in one room and then played one after another, how similar or how different they would sound?

Considering they use cheap components i would say the tolerances would have greater range. That being said Fender amps dont seem to be AS sensative as Dumbles

Going to a PCB design does improve the consistency of your builds...Since I have moved here on several amps I find a more consistent functioning tone stack as well as a similar type gain structure amp to amp especially on the OD side...I found the hardest to get consistent were the high plate Non Hrm Skyliners..
.For all you newbies...A word of advice ALWAYS try to provide a strong positive mechanical connection to each componet especially in the signal path and power supply... You can go back and study how Dumble does this in some of the pictures provided notice the leads were always wrapped and crimped ...pay close attention to how he runs the wires for the tonestack...some on top some on the bottom...This will increase your build times but help improve the consistency of your builds greatly...As well as improved tone and reliability...

Which pictures would you use as a reference - the #124 ayan series?

Notice in the first shot how even the wires coming up through the eyelets are wrapped around the outer edge making contact with the eyelet itself along with the various parts.. The solder holds the wire in place but the mechanical contact (the eyelet is not broken)...The difference in my opinion between a good amp and a great one right there.. The rest are 124.. The basic theme runs through all his amps.. For the most part...wrapped and crimped..
