That preamp gain pot on V1a cathode is errrr.....different.
The character and tone of the od will change dramatically from one end to the other. Cool if you want that, most people probably don't though.
However, there are far more pressing changes to tackle first.

Drive by poster. Is this a gangsta drive-by. I just kind of lost interest in the whole big-foot thing. I really had hoped that it was the Sasquatch. I felt really let down that it turned out to be some guts and synthetic hair in a coleman cooler. See what I mean. Just disappointing...I then thought you guys could tell through my postings that I wanted a family, and that the head of my family household, in my mind, was the Sasquatch. Then the guy with the guts in the cooler, garnered with synthetic hair(though looking real enough for a high ranking law enforcement official) breaks my heart by announcing that they have MY FAMILY HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD IN A FREAKING COLEMAN COOLER! Well, I thought you guys were teasing me, thinking that maybe I may have a screw loose, maybe even becoming unstable, to the point of wanting another head of family household, maybe AN ALIEN! Then I thought...

So you think the coupling caps should be lesser value. I think I will try that out as well as lowering the 100uf filters. I actually want the clean to be more open like my Fender clone(Weber 6A20HP).

The mind is a terrible thing.

I'm not sure that's going to give you the results you're after. First off you only want to lower the second stage of filtering, on the screens. Leave the first stage as it is. Second, Dumble's clean isn't like a Fender clean, it's much more low mid heavy and fatter.

If you want to copy a Dumble, it'll take more than a few changes.

I thought that Dumbles were basically copies of Fenders with extra gain stages and some of Fenders shortcomings "fixed". I guess you could say that about Marshalls too. Flip the EQ change a value, viola, Marshall. I looked at the ODS schematic floating around and it compares to a Blackface and even more closely to the Weber Halle pretty favorably to my untrained and probably unsophisticated eye.

I ran a repair business for years and at the time I thought that too, in fact the only Dumble I saw looked like a Bassman. I changed my mind after I built one and really changed my mind after I copied one wire for wire. A lot of the magic is in the build execution.

I am looking over the 1997 Humble Overdraft specimen and it looks like ALL of the filtering is high on the Halle. I am still a newb. Does lowering the capacitance of the power filtering stages allow a more natural sound?

I am looking over the 1997 Humble Overdraft and it looks like ALL of the filtering is high on the Halle. It also appears that this is the schematic that the Halle is based on. I am still a newb. Does lowering the capacitance of the power filtering stages allow a more natural sound?

Looking over the DumbleLite 16x8 layout, the filtering is done with single caps versus series caps to achieve the lower capacitance. Is there a reason for using series caps to lower capacitance?

Have not changed the filtering yet. I swapped the first Treble cap with the Clean Channel Volume cap(250pf and 470pf) this more closely matches the Humble Overdraft Specimen. I also switched the Clean Channel Bass cap to a .001uf orange drop. Nothing much to report on differences. Seems much the same. I will get some filter caps soon.

Can anyone answer the question of why the filter caps in some designs are dual series?

I am under the impression that it is to increase the voltage rating of the cap(s) at each node.
