Hi!Funkalicousgroove wrote:I thought they were 10.25x10x20.75, but I think he uses 15mm board instead of 18mm so they look a bit smaller. I have a friend with 3, I'll measure next time I get up that way.
I`m new at this forum. I am starting to build my first #124 clone these days. While im waiting on parts, I`ve started off at the wrong end and doing the carpenting stuff right now.
Bought my self a router and a dovetail jig. However, the finished head cabinet seems too high at 10". Done some measurements at #119 photos in AutoCad, and found that the total hight to be 9"... That leaves not mutch room for the 6L6 tubes..
Have anyone been able to verify the actual dimensions..?

the outside box dimmensions on this on is 9 1/2". No problem with twin trannies, Marshall style standup trannies clear by about a quarter inch.

Thanks!
Here are some screendumps to show what i found late last night. I know that this is not the proper way of using AutoCad.. and the results may be all wrong. Scaling is based on 19 1/4" wide chassis.

OK
Had to try some models in 3D as well...
I`ll provide full 3D sketch when I have decided for dimensions.
Is the original front piece and back piece in 15mm?

I don't do metric but my head cab uses 1/2" ply for the rear cover and front valance.
Remember there is an aluminum strip that trims the front grill and the under the face plate on the ODS amps.
On my D'Lite it just has a piece of 3/4" ply across the front between the grill and faceplate.
Not sure what year Dumble started using the cross bar piece like on this one.

Re: Dimensions for combo and head
Ok went for the 9 1/2" (looks most natural to me)
Here are some screen dumps. Back is based on #167 pictures.
Will disassemble and make complete drawings..
Suede leather was not in my library, so I had to choose "blue denim"
, and that could be cool (at another amp)
Edit1: Added kiwiandy`s front to the chassis.
Edit2: Added Vox grillecloth
