Yeah, those **edited, sore spot with me, won't come up again** called me wanting to buy my transformers, I'm willing to bet that if you open an EL1 it looks VERY CLOSE to the how-to tutorial I posted in the files section last December. $2500-LOL!!!!!!!

They originally put **EDIT, "our former"** cabinet guy (we used to use the same guy)together to call me and ask because they were too **Edit, Apprehensive is a more accurate and less offensive word** t, they wanted to buy whole kits!

I actually agreed to sell them a few trannies, because they called me up with some story that they weren't going to go into production, and they only wanted to build 5 or so for really good customers, well that whole deal went sour, and I told Bill **EDIT "what to do with "** himself.

I will build one for $500 for any two-rock owner to keep them from buying that ridiculously priced TR unit!

Not to derail the thread here but I’d like to comment on the type of situation Funk just listed.

The problem as I see it, is that the purpose behind this forum has been compromised because of a whole lot of people not being the least bit interested in what we do here from a builders perspective. They stumble in here, rip the good stuff and start working on a business plan. That in turn is dangerous for the spirit of the forum. The members with great information clam up because they don’t like to see their contributions tarnished.

This discussion truly is the 1000 pound gorilla in the room but these gorillas build amps too damn it!

I remember waaaay back when the Dumble forum was just started, we’d have Dogears posting the measurements of a degooped ODS, Norm starting the Dumble Lite, open ended discussions etc. Those days are now gone because the Ampgarage is under a laser-like spotlight where thousands flock to see Dumble information. Before this place, there was Ampage but information was not shared like it is here. This is the first time anywhere that I know of that openly discusses the inner workings of Dumble amps.

That discussion is beginning to change. A few years back it was focused on getting inside real specimens, now we’re just glad to discuss if we should use a .047 or .1 mid cap. #124 was incredibly cool to see inside but for me it was never the “be-all end-all” search. I’m sad to think that this forum has outgrown it’s initial purpose.

....which is why I tried to get Gregory Hilden to post detailed Gut shot of his Precious #94, a couple of days ago, but so far, I haven't been successfull....

I'm afraid this happens all over, wherever and whenever possible......
While i might be fresh at building guitar amps, I've been in the Audio Asylum for years, and this happens all the time, I'm afraid.....
One might argue that even the pioneers were all stealing from one another, and even HAD himself most certainly had his "inspirations" from somewhere, there is still a difference between "pinching some ideas" and pure cloning.

Unfortunately this doesn't help the DIY community, where most people are seeking their own entertainment and passtimes. Changing the fora to closed communities doesn't realy help either - how then would " the pure at heart" newcomers be able to qualify ?

I've been in 8, including 2 SSS, one of which is VERY famous. I can't post the info for fear that they will become the next two-rock, Ceriatone, etc.

LOL but they will be in the next Bludotone.

Why is it that you cannot except the simple fact that your a pirate and a capitalist Brandon?

If your here your a damned bootlegging pirate not Mother Theresa!

Really sorry if anyone here is so sensitive that they will not accept the truth about this but enough is enough.

It's about dollars. Not moral high grounds.

Oh and wasn't Chad two rocks cab guy for years and years before building cabs for you?

A lot of pots calling kettles black around here I must say.....

No need for the attack! Brandon sells amps, so what. He's shared more info here than anyone, period. And, he does it from the perspective of experience not something he read on the internet somewhere.
If you don't like it move along or share something. Just don't piss all over people that do. I don't know who you are but it sounds like some sour grapes going on maybe.

Ampdork You are a **Edit, I lost my temper and I apologize for using offensive language** I Know who you are, even if these people don't.

I fail to see how chad being their builder before he built cabs for me has anything to do with the fact that Joe Mloganowski didn't have the balls to call me himself, and chad no longer does cabs for either of us-moot point.

I also fail to see how my years of searching for this info, and finding it through Hands-on research (not letting someone else do the work then acting entitled to it) and wanting to share it with DIY builders entitles YOU to be able to profit off it commercially.

You know this *EDIT "Guy"* actually had the **EDIT, "Gumption"** to ask me for the mechanical drawing for my chassis posing as a "diy builder who is inclined to fold his own chassis rather than buy one." you know where that was going right?

I am amazed by the people who hop on this site, read for a few months, ask alot of questions, then start an amp company, or add a "Dumble style" to their current lineup, and why not, I mean if someone is dumb enough to do the work for you, and post it in a public place, why the hell not right? well excuse me for wanting things to be easier for other folks than they were for me-

and while we're at it - the proper word is "accept" not except-**Edit, "using proper grammar conveys your point more effectively"**
