Apart from the screw issue.
Wire colour code, I can see a few black wires (more than I'd expect).
If it's a W*ber with 240v primary don't waste your time, burn it now or use as a doorstop whatever.

Yep got one of those but also got a bigger replacement freebie from Ted that's so far working fine. If you've had a problem he might do the same for you.tonelab2 wrote:Apart from the screw issue.

My understanding is Weber had a bad batch of EU or International trannies from some vendor a while ago.
YMMV

It's an domestic/export version Heyboer that's why all the wires. 100,120,220,230 and 240. I sent them the picture and their response was:
"I will make a note on our internal print so they are sure they catch that next time. Normally we always put the nut on the lead side"

Re: Obvious Manufacturer srewups
This is my experienced opinion...
Weber is a stand-up guy. He will take care of things if they go bad. His PT's work great and the price can't be beat.
Heyboer makes great OT's. Although, they can be a pain when it comes to customer service. They have more of a "prove it" attitude instead of the customer is always right.
