Not applicable since this is not Robben's usual setup. His settings are not close to his normal. I don't think he was using the amp OD at all. He was just using the amp to power the TC stereo feed. IMHO.

Re: Guess who ...
Is it possible the he sometimes uses the Dumble as the 'main' amp and the Twin as the 'wet' amp but then sometimes has to go the other way (Twin w/Zen as 'main' and Dumble as 'wet') when the club size/acoustics dictate?
I ask because it seems strange that he would lug the cumbersome and uber-$$ Dumble just to be a 'wet' amp...even though it appears that's how he's using it.

For what it's worth, I think RF has been using the same EQ settings for a long time. Back in the 80s/early 90s, the treble was up and the bass down. Anyway, in terrms of the Volume, Level and Ratio controls, to me those settings are very consistent with getting a good OD out of: (1) non HRM amps (which I think we can rule out in RF's case by virtue of his tone); (2) a BM amp... I got my best tones with similar settings, except I turned the bass down and I had a linear treble pot.dogears wrote:Looks like he is using the TC2290 in stereo. The Dumble set clean for one side. Zen/Twin for OD tone.
I don't know anyone who uses the bright switch fwiw.
Also, the lead ratio control is set very high relative to the master and clean channel input gain. Unfortunately, this does not conclusively prove HRM or Non HRM since he apparantly is using the Zen for lead tone. The Dumble lead channel is set for really low levels of OD if he clicked on it at all. Which I doubt based on the pictures. He may have had volume issues with the small club.
If he's ditching the Dumble's lead tone in favor of a pedal and the Twin -- and based upon LC's comments we presume RF's is a BM -- maybe RF feels as good as I did about the BM's lead tone.
