That wasn't your point at all! Your point was that you thought the Ceriatone FET circuit was potentially deadly and you set up an unlikely scenario to support that idea. But you failed to consider the entire circuit. And now, rather than admit your scenario was not deadly at all, you just keep changing your story. You originally said you would have 350V on the strings. Then changed to say 350V would be on the pickups, then shifted to compare tube to FET safety, and now changing to use a safe low voltage source. Well, just keep changing. Eventually you may convince yourself.

?? your understanding is totally wrong, but ok life is short for this childish discussion."on strings" was a typo, also clear like a day.

of course this was the point, to make people to think a bit how to overtake the problem. all modern FETs today are more or less for 15VDC.

There never was a problem.

Yeah agreed colossal, let's mellow it down a bit please.

xtian, glad you got the FET biased well. I think I need to revisit my #124, the FET works but there's always a weird noise when I first plug into the FET input then it seems to stabilize, I think it's probably the impedance being a bit off going to the next stage, but that's for another day :D
