Good catch, should be 150K/2k2markusw wrote:Very nice layout! My layouts never look that tidy![]()
Do you have 100k/2k2 for the reverb recovery on purpose?

Funny, I checked my parts order, I order the correct values I just didn't put them on the layout.mauiboy81 wrote:Also, your gnfb/pres is 100k/390 w/ 15k pot and .01uf film.... Looks like a blend of different designs. BM would be 100k/4k75 w/ 25kL pot and .1uf film.
Edit: You'll need 1M from reverb driver grid to ground.

Very cool Bob, looking forward to seeing this complete! Good to see you back.

I just had a free moment so I took a look at the layout again. The treble pot is reversed... 390p treble cap should connect to the right lug and the left lug to the PAB relay.
I'm glad you had the right parts on order. It's always a bummer when you place an order and realize shortly thereafter that you forgot a resistor value or some other essential component! I've done that a few times.

I've done one or two builds in that chassis. Went with the d-lator. Here are some gut shots.

looks great. Did you use 5v relays off the heater supply?Smitty wrote:I've done one or two builds in that chassis. Went with the d-lator. Here are some gut shots.

5V Relays
Yup. Voltage doubler. There's enough voltage to light up pedal LEDs in series with the relay if you use a low dropout 6V regulator. Got to use diodes that don't drop much voltage, too. At work now. Will try to dig up the part numbers when I get home.
Pedal is grounded at the chassis next to the input. No hum and no click.

These parts work well in a voltage doubler bridge circuit off the 5V winding.

Re: 2-6V6 ODS suggestions, Main Board completed
I just finished this 2 x 6V6 ODS build, same values as 102 for the most part, with full tube reverb and a half buffered loop.
I used a Fender Deluxe PT from mojo and used the 5V taps for the relays. The PT is putting out 470 on the plates though! I think the SS rectification makes it too high. I might just leave it alone, I've got some NOS JAN 6V6 that seem like they are doing ok as long as i keep it biased on the cold side.
I'm still working on tuning it, but it already sounds pretty sweet.
Also there is a global master on the back.
Oh and the lighter on the desk is NOT because i smoke

Taylor looking good

Looks great. I was thinking of a loop but I thought the reverb would be more useful for a grab and go combo. What did you do for 1/2 buffered loop, just the send?amplifiednation wrote:I just finished this 2 x 6V6 ODS build, same values as 102 for the most part, with full tube reverb and a half buffered loop.

I'm using a Princeton PT so the plate voltages will allow more tube choices. I don't have an OT yet but I'm thinking magnetics components deluxe/vibrolux type. It works great in a 6V6 amp I built a few years ago.

Yes, I am curious also? What did you do for 1/2 buffered loop, just the send?
Very nice looking build. Well done.

Looks great Bob.
I would love to build more amps but I simply don't need any at this point.
I have the 50w D'lite and my scratch built 100w ODS clone.
When the details of #183 came out I quickly modded my amp to those specs, although I was still running 6L6.
In the meantime I took the qualities of #183 and blended it with #102 and got an amp that really suits me and my playing style.
I have always been more of a Fender guy so the Dumble amps seemed like a good choice, and man was I right.
Suits me to a T (Tom
)
Although I did play a Marshall 18 watt type amp a while back that pleased me so who knows?

I'm in process of doing a bunch of mods myself. I have a Bluesmaster 1x12 combo that is simply amazing, a 2x12 HRM combo also great, a Princeton reverb, a 2x10 Octal Rocket reverb, and some other partially build amps. So many I sometimes can't decide what to bring to a gig.Structo wrote:Looks great Bob.

I've also been a fender guy since I bought my first fender in 1964, a Princeton. I've never liked non-fendery amps.
