Are you planning on leaving that as so and doesn't that create a shock hazard in the event of a short to chassis ground?
The earth ground of the IEC connector is fully connected to the housing of the connector and the housing is fully connected to the chassis and my electrical earth-point. The circuit earth can be lifted, see schematic. So it must be safe I guess...
