I have never seen an "A" pot to be anything other than Audio over here. (London & Frankfurt)
But I sure get wondering when I see the "L" suffix in a schematic. What's that supposed to communicate - Log or Lin? It gets me trying out both to see what I like.

I've got a pair in my guitar, they are nice - smooth action. Don't think I can justify buying more for the amp though.
