Then you adjust the trimmer to remove the desired amount of highs which help tame the fizziness.
I see. If fizziness is what i think it is my amp doesnt suffer from it but i'll give it a try. Thanks for the info

I know you said you can't do pics until after the weekend, but I think it's at the point where some hi-res pics and even some hi-quality audio clips would help tremendously.

Yeah, i know. Going to do sound check in a couple of hours and maybe i'll ask the tech guy to do some recordings of this. Thank you.
I hear all kinds of poppin and fizzin but I really hope that is the camera mic and not the amp. If it was the amp that would have completely ruined that gig.
my 2 cents
yeah, i'm pretty sure and hope that was the camera mic.
turbo...well your band sounds great and I was glad to have a listen, but when I mentioned "audio clip" i meant a close mic in a quiet room with hopefully a half decent recorder. Mess with different volume levels and channels to give us a good idea of the overall sound.
One positive thing, IMHO from what I can tell the amp is getting an ODS groove on.

Okaaaaaay... it turns out it was one of the power tubes. I measured the cathode current and one of the tubes was way off. Replaced the tube by a matched E34L, rebiased a little bit more hotter and also changed the g1 resistors from 5k1 to 6k8.
After rebias i got under 1mA difference between the two tubes so i got a pretty decent matched set.
I also measured the DC supply with my scope and i could see a fair amount of ripple (about 2Vac-pp) at iddle. I think i need more filtering... what do you guys think?
Problem solved! Thanks for all your help! I really appreciate it!
I worked on an amp several years ago, and went thru it,...checked it out, and gave it back to it's owner. He came back about a week later and said it was still doing the same thing. I and several others in the shop tried and tried, but could not replicate the noise. As it turned out, it was the way the guy was picking. He could do it on just about anywhere on the guitar, so we finally decided it was his picking technique that was causing the buzz. You might have some other players see if this happens, and/or change the guitar you are using if you haven't tried that already.

Interesting you should mention this..I had a customer come in and play one of his guitars through one of my amps and noticed a slight buzz in the background..He thought it was the amp since he didn't hear it on any of his....He swore there was nothing wrong with the guitar..Turned out to be slight fret buzz..Raised the bridge a few turns took care of it..You can hear everything on these amps..Especially the earlier ones without OD trigger
