The first one looks like a Heyboer to me, never seen a Pacific so can't comment on the 2nd.

Thanks a lot posting the pics! :D
It's kind of hard to get informations from TAD regarding the manufacturers of their transformers.
Seems until recently they also stocked the Twin Reverb OT from Pacific.
Now they only stock it from a manufacturer "in the Chicago region" that "isn't known here in europe". :?:
Don't know if they might refer to Heyboer....

996 should be Heyboer, I believe.

I have both Heyboer and Mercury Magnetic transformers, they are both good quality transformers. The Mastran stuff is suppose to be very good (Heyboer again).

I think the big issue with these guys is the spec. Both Mercury and Heyboer make transformers for the Trainwreck amps, yet the Heyboer stuff is preferred. The Martran O/P transformer is the preferred one.

The only issue I have with Mercury is that they often don't post the specs up making it difficult to compare products.

Tony I had a look at the Mercury site and I didn't see a fat stack version of the Triad Tweed Twin transformer. Is this what you meant?
