It's essential, but remember the Dlator 12AX7 is really important, so give a few a whirl.

I found this out yesterday when fully cranked at the rehearsal room when I bypassed the Dlator and the plain amp sounded a lot more dynamic and tons of harmonics that the Dlator seemed to hide under a blanket.

Swapping the tube out for a new JJECC83 brought the rig to life again! :D
