Spic and span build, bigmik! Glad you got the problem sussed out. I must say that I do miss the blond gorilla, though.......
Re: el34 HRM
the relay supply transformer is a 12vct the standard radio shack variety,UltraHookedOnPhonix wrote:Nah, you did awesome! Very nicely drawn PS PCB too. I can't see from the pics but is your relay PT 12VCT?bigmik wrote:thanks UHP,still trying to build one that looks as nice as yoursUltraHookedOnPhonix wrote:Nice one! I love the iron and the beefy chassis!
Is the Marshall choke you have there a 3H, 100 Ohm resistance thing?![]()
the choke is 5h ,115 ohm it's from magnetic components this is the second set of tranny's that I have used from them and have been really pleased with the product and their customer service ,responded quickly to my e-mails
Seems a lot of people are digging those magnetic components xformers. They seem to be stricking a nice balance between quality and pricepoint. Heck, they've been around since 43', must be doing something right!
up until the last two builds all of my amps used heyboers but it's good to have another readily available option,i still like the heyboers
thanks! your to funnytoneslinger wrote:Great work clean as martha stewarts vagina in there.
Looks great I respect that look quite a bit.
Its a thing of beauty..
The amp I mean.
Very well done.
thanks stelligan ,now if you could teach me how to play and make clips as good as yours i'll be good to gostelligan wrote:Spic and span build, bigmik! Glad you got the problem sussed out. I must say that I do miss the blond gorilla, though.......

Very cool, what is that material?bigmik wrote:thanks,I got em' made at a local sign shopmnjordan wrote:Looks fantastic.
Where did you get the faceplate?
Is it a sticker of some sort, stuck to the chassis? Or is it plexi/metal?
I only ask because my Ceriatone will be here soon, and I hate the "His Royal Majesty" logo on those amps. I'm wanting to replace the plexi faceplate that comes on the Ceriatones with a new metal or plexi plate with no logo at all.

Which chassis is that. What I mean is how did you get one without the PT cutout?

Re: el34 HRM
Very Nice Build.
I thought of using vinyl myself but was worried the adhesive might not like the heat from the chassis. How is yours working out? Anything to worry about? Also, any chance of a sound clip?
Re: el34 HRM
thanks, so far no problems with the vinyl but who knows ,to early to tellDr d wrote:Very Nice Build.I thought of using vinyl myself but was worried the adhesive might not like the heat from the chassis. How is yours working out? Anything to worry about? Also, any chance of a sound clip?
