low frequency oscillations

Post by danotron »

Getting low frequency oscillations from the first stage when cranked. :( This is a D'lite style build. Any ideas on a cure?

Or even a bit more detail...

Like - when 'what' is cranked - the master volume or the input volume?
Does it do it when there's nothing plugged in to the input?
Does it oscillate under a dummy load?
Does varying the tone controls alter the oscillation?
Is it 60 or 120 Hz? or does the frequency vary with changes in controls?

Help us out here with some detail so we can help you out.

problem found

Sorry for the premature post.....I found the problem. The problem was the local feedback on the second clean stage. I had the .05uF cap just floating in space, it was vibrating when the cab shook. A little silicone fixed 'er up. :D
