I just kind of assumed it was Maken music because Greg was kind of an unofficial contact for alexander back in the day.

It used to be a much smaller store back in the 1990's, when it was about 4 or 5 blocks south of Wrigley Field. Not sure I even remember Class Ax myself.

Well, on these particular amps I know two of the guys that got a couple and that was how I got to go over them. The story was that through a connection with HAD SS was able to get 5 new amps to sell. The combo from the batch shows up on ebay a few times a year. There was some speculation about the amps because it was thought odd that someone could get 5 of these things new all at once to sell but some pretty smart guys have really looked them over and they sure look right.

Looks like same(pictues anyway) guy, he seemed pretty legit to me. IIRC he said at one time or another he had 6 different of versions them and even claimed to have sold a Dumble to JM. He said he had very recent documentation from HAD that he would share to prove that the amp was the real deal. I came away with the impression that he knew HAD on a personal level as well.

He was trying to raise some cash, as he had that amp, the BB cab and several cool vintage amp and guitar pieces from the 50's and 60's.
