Bludo Lay out help

Post by fusionbear »

Hello, I am finishing a build for a friend that is using Brandon's chassis' and parts. I am not familiar with the layout of the filter cap board and I also noticed that it has the Radioshack transformer like #124 and the LM7812 regulator, but it has Omron 5VDC relays. This doesn't look right. This is a non-hrm style amp. I searched for hours in the D-files page, but I still can't find the help I need. Also, the regulator supply board is different as well with a full wave rectifier as opposed to the half wave one on the #124 schematic.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated... :D

I think Brandon uses the precision Power supply so you will have to get that from him... This should help with the Relays and everything else......Oh and when you speak of me... speak highly...

You don't have to use the Radio shack transformer, and I didn't supply any relays, so you can go 6 or 12v relays depending on your transformer, for 5v use a small filament transformer (Hammond, etc) and a 5v regulator. My Power transformers have a dedicated tap for the relays.

There is a picture or several of completed amps in the files section, if you are still having trouble after that PM me and I'll give you my phone # so we can get it worked out

As an alternate for the 5V relays you can just use Brandon's relay taps (green wires) to the bridge and use a series 150 ohm resistor on the relay grounds that get switched - no regulator is needed.
