I've been trying out different preamp tubes. I think I like this configuration, EH in V1 and JJ in V2. Sovtek in th PI. Haven't played around with different tubes in the PI yet. What's everyone's favorite PI tube?
Clip is Strat with Fender Japan '68 reissue maple neck. Dimarzio HS-2 in bridge position. OD channel, input volume 8, Treble 8, Mid 7, Bass 5, Overdrive 5, Presence 4, Master 3.5
Any and all feedback kindly accepted please. I think it's getting there, especially now the speakers are getting broke in.

I like the Sovtek 12AX7LP for the PI - The JJ long plate is also a good choice but I had one fail on a pretty important gig so I'm gun shy about using them.Blindog wrote:I've been trying out different preamp tubes. The amp is really sounding good - I can't wait to hear it with a D'lator in the loop. If it sounds any better I want the amp boards back

Oh, I don't think so!If it sounds any better I want the amp boards back
Thanks everyone for the positive comments. I wanted a different style blusey clip, thought some Floyd would be good.
