relay popping
What is the best way to stop pops when using relays?I have a non-Dumble amp that I put relay boost switching into and it pops loudly when switching. My Dumble style amps are noise free.

Crystal latice or vacuum, that is the question.

Do you have a diode across the coil?

Re: relay popping
Ive seen popping from what I assumed was coupling caps charging (ie being fully switched in and out of the signal and HV path). Also could be an issue of a ground reference, which a 5m or 10m to ground the right place might clear up. Depends on the specifics I would say.
just some educated guesses, couple of things to try.

Re: relay popping
Where are you deriving the relay supply power from?
Is the diode mounted physcally close to the relay (say less than .5")?

Re: relay popping
It lifts the resistor off ground on the bass pot of a fender amp.I have the 5v winding of the PT ,same power supply board and rely board as my dumble clones.I'm thinking that it is the ground that's the problem.I lose the ground through the 6.8k resistor and footswitch it in again and it pops.I'm going to try a 220k resistor to ground so it always has a reference.
