Another D'Lite 22/33 build

Post by narapo »

Hi,

I have just completed the build of my D'Lite 22/33 kit (with export mains transformer); I have installed the 6V6/6L6 switch and a sturdier output imepdance selector (I had to enlarge the chassis hole a bit):

The amp performed well on the first power up, but I had to replace the 6V6 JJ's that were shipped with the kit, because they were not matched, one had an output of 10w while the other barely gave 5W ; I isntalled a pair of TAD 6V6 that were perfectly matched and the amp worked perfectly. I want to change the preamp tubes also, any recommandation in new or NOS ?

now I am waiting for the loop kit I have ordered, and to get some infoirmation, about the different tweak options available with the ultra kit I have also received with the D'Lite. Thare are some spare pots, resistors, capacitors and switches but no explanation ; I have already selected the components to make the Blues Master PPI mod, but I'm still wondering about what to do with the other components.
