Dlator Values - is this ok
Do I have this correct. My build is complete and I tested it with the bulb limiter ( which did not light up ) great. Put a tube in and the LED came on. I should then read voltages at the plates pins 1 & 6  
pin 1 - reads 228V to ground
pin 6 - reads 200v to ground
There is a 100k resistor on pin 6
am I ok ??

Any thoughts on favored settings for this device. I am having a blast just trying it all. Pardon me if i don't know exactly what this thing does. Any artful explanation of its potential and nuance would be helpful.

That looks like a very nice build angelodp. I was a little concerned when I saw your original post with your donor chassis but you have transformed it into what looks like some high end studio gear! 
 
The d'lator is basically a device for interfacing line level/rack gear into the Dumble amp system, although from some of the threads here it seems to also add an extra dimension to the sound with or without FX. Any more than that I couldn't say, as I'm in the process of building my own as I write!

Yes indeed, this is my first guitar and I can still smell that Gretsch thing when I opened the case. My dad got it for me. I did change out the tuners... still have the original ones. On the D'lite its awesome, although my trustee Tremolux has that vibrato thing thats hard to beat. I add an OCD to that amp and its scarry good.

This is not correct.    You should have around 250V-260V on whichever side is the cathode follower and about 230V on the recovery amp side.    The tube is wired such that the recovery amp side is fed from the 15K dropping and then the cathode follower from the 100K.

Thanks dogears, I used a 1.5k resistor instead of a 1.3  at the cathode along with 47uF.... could that account for the difference??

Nope...
If you have it wired correct, your PT is putting out lower voltage. I'd suggest changing the string. Maybe 10K/68K. Try and get the recovery amp to 220V-230V and pin 1 of the cathode follower to 260V.

Do you have the recovery amp plate connected to the 15K?   The order is PS>recovery amp>cathode follower.

In general I think it's always a good idea to measure your supply voltages at all nodes (i.e. the + side of every filter cap), all plate voltages, and all cathode voltages. Just listing the plate voltage doesn't tell us much because we don't know the supply voltage and it's often the voltage drops across a resistance that are more revealing. I would also measure the AC filament voltage just to make sure it's in the right range (I just measure each side to ground and look for ~3.15vac).
Then after you measure and record your dc voltages throughout, use Ohm's Law (V=I * R) and calculate the plate and cathode currents. Often they will point to the problem (i.e. too much current flowing somewhere or not enough/none flowing somewhere it should be).

correct voltages
Ok, so I did do a re-test and found I was not reading correctly. I set the  mains to the device at 135v ( with a friend and his variac ) and found the values for the B+ needed to be at 130v. Then all the values were spot on. With B+ at exactly the right level all the other readings were correct. This then indicates that the first resistor on the DC board is too high. I m advised that the dlator can run with this slightly off value no problem. The normal mains are not at 130 or 135 at any rate.
