just tried a Clestion Neo Vintage speaker

Post by phsyconoodler »

I just tried a Celestion Neo Vintage speaker in my Overdrive Rocket.Oh,my! Nice sounds from this very fine speaker!
I usually play through either a 2-12 Greenback cabinet or a single Mojo Greyhound.
This speaker killed the pair of greenbacks dead in their tracks! Tone, tone, tone! The overdrive comes to life with this speaker!I'm going to pop a pair into t 2-12 cab and see what happens.I have a suspicion that it will be fabulous.
The cleans with single coils were improved dramatically too. It's a bit brighter than the greenback, but the overdrive sounds more than make up for any inherent brightness.
I likey!
Crystal latice or vacuum, that is the question.

Cool! Always looking for new speaker ideas. 8) Do you have experience with the G12-65 Heritage reissue? If so, how does it compare?
