How is that clean ?

Post by hebaton »

I never had the chance to play, or hear directly a Dumble or a clone.
I know from what I got from videos, that I like the ODS overdrive tones, I am wondering how the clean channel behaves. Is it Fender like ? Does it breakup gracefully when pushed ?
How efficient is the Master volume ? Can a 50 watt or even a 100 watt ODS clone be used in the studio or on small gigs and sound its best at low volumes ?

If this is the wrong place to ask such questions please advise me,

Thank you all !

In my experience, the clean sound of an ODS style amp tends to be sort of like the dry side of a blackface.

I have found the master volume to be quite effective for club/studio/rehearsal use.

Whilst ODS style amps are broadly similar, there is quite a bit of variation between individuals.
