There are lots of o-scope tutorials around to get the basics. More recent ones will lean more toward digital. For this PI balance thing, just use the generator to send e.g. a 400 Hz signal into the power amp in, and put a probe on each bias test jack. This is low voltage and low frequency, so you can use x1 probes, and DC coupling so they have the same position reference on the screen. Horizontal sweep at 1 ms, vertical sensitivity at say 50 mV. You're looking for the peaks of the two signals to be equal in height, like this:

Good choice on the Hantek, that's the one I would get if I could do it over again.

It looks like the Hantek only comes with one 1x/10x probe, the other is 100x. If this is the case I suggest getting another 1x/10x probe.

The auto set button will be your friend in the beginning. Good choice on scope. You can plug in a USB stick and screen shot the scope easily.

Looking forward to seeing what you can figure out!

https://www.amazon.com/Hantek-Universal ... r=1-3&th=1

It should be shipped with 2x x1/x10 instead of the x100.
