Audio quality meh, but is this Todd Sharp playing ODS 121 with rod stewart 1989? White Marshall 412s abound , seems to track on the timeline.

AFAIK it is the right timeline.Bombacaototal wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 9:40 pm Amazing, thanks for posting, I was always curious about this amp
I was fishing through old rod Stewart concerts but they are usually very low quality like this video . I am also unfamiliar with rod Stewart’s solo career music so it’s hard for me to through it all and find where Tom is playing prominent Parts . Most of the leads seem to be handled by the other guys . This was the only one where I could find an extended close up of Tom playing.
Are there any better clips out there?

Guitar harmonies. If you listen to the other guitarist solo sound you can get an idea of how it’s contrasting against the ODS . The other amp is a typical fizzy saturated lead tone that you might expect from someone in 1990. Tom has a much sharper
sound

Edit: I tried to share the time stamp but it seems like it didn’t . If I can find the exact spot again I will write it out lol
53:06 is a call and response solo between the two guitarists
5:29 Todd Sharp Blues rock lead

Looks like 84-85ish is the acquisition point for first amplifier. 86-87ish for the second .

2:44 Todd Sharp solo. DanElectro black and white No close ups fyi.
Kinda funny, Rod pokes Todd with the mic stand to cue his turn to fill in the licks .edit: It almost looks like Rod is annoyed by the low down rhythmic playing Todd did in the previous break lol. 4:35. Band drops out and it’s just Todd doing lead
