SPEAKER CABINETS

Hello to all,

to share the construction of a speaker cabinets I built for a friend.
It's a free interpretation of Two Rock's open box with an ELV 12L speaker.
The box is made of birch plywood.
The sound is warm and precise, neither too dark nor too light.
The only real problem I faced was fixing the loudspeaker, which for safety was fixed with 8 nuts and bolts, the latter made to stick into the wood with three tips and the loudspeaker is fixed to the inside the box.
It was not an easy task because the dice should not be visible when looking at the box from the front.
The next realization will change the system by fixing the speaker from the outside of the box with traditional nuts and bolts ....... maybe it is easier to fix it. :D

Un abbraccio
Franco

Very nice, Franco. I like the blend of modern appointments with the nod to the classic Vox and Dumble styles. Looks very sharp.

Excellent work!

I've moved the thread to Speakers and Cabinets due to the dumble files section only being for photo's of actual dumbles OR schematics/layouts of suspected Dumble circuits, not for clones/copies etc. I can move this to Dumble Discussion if you'd prefer as this does seem to be a build similar in vein to his cabinet designs etc, but wasn't sure where was the best fit.

Thanks for sharing.

yes, thanks, it seems to me the right place. The box is for a custom designed amplifier very close to the JM/SSS. :D

The projects are going fine for most part haha. In short: the Wonderland chassis got MIG welded and sanded last week. They are at the anodiser this week and will be going to the screen printer somewhere next week. Anodiser and printer are very very busy these days, so we'll have to see how fast everything goes. And then I still have to see if I'm satisfied with the results or not haha. But I'm pretty sure they will turn out quite allright.

The 005 and Don chassis are on a short hold till the Wonderlands are done. I'd like to have at least one line finished and not divert my attention to much to other projects.

Dear Bas,

I also found myself in the same conditions, I went into total confusion: roll: but since I am stubborn, I took a break in a good restaurant to clear my mind and fill my stomach, a double coffee and I would start again :D ... from the most important project It is important to be sure that other projects do not experience a slight delay.
Don't worry if I too am over the hot coals out of curiosity to see these projects realized.
