Half Power Switch
Hi all, I have a quick question on the half power switch. I can seen on the 1183 and 102 layouts that there is a wire from PIN8 of the two outer tubes to the switch. My question is how to use the 1ohm to ground with a bias testing points on those two tubes? Should I bring the ground on the switch back to the testing point (with a 1ohm attached to it?)

Re: Half Power Switch
If you want to measure bias using one ohm resistors, use a double pole single throw switch and connect the cathodes to either the 1 ohm resistor of the other tubes they are in parallel with (two test points) or hook them up to their own 1 ohm resistor (4 individual testpoints).
Direct to ground will work to, but you lose the bias test points.

Re: Half Power Switch
Thanks Richard! I ended up connecting them to the 1 ohm of their individual testing points, so I have 4 in total, one per tubeRichard1001 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 22, 2021 1:42 am If you want to measure bias using one ohm resistors, use a double pole single throw switch and connect the cathodes to either the 1 ohm resistor of the other tubes they are in parallel with (two test points) or hook them up to their own 1 ohm resistor (4 individual testpoints).
