Bluesmaster and One Tube Reverb Question

Post by wattsup »

If I add a one tube reverb to a 50W Bluesmaster, would it be better to put it between the Master volume and the effects loop, or in between the effects loop and the phase inverter?

I placed the 2 tube reverb in my 50 watt dumble clone build after the master volume and just before the effects loop. The most important thing with placing the reverb is that you place it after the master volume because if you place it before then when you dial down the master you will also kill some of the reverb.
Another reason why I liked placing it before the effects loop is because I like the sound of my reverb going through my dumbleator and if I placed reverb after the effects loop then it would not go through my dumbleator . I also find that I have an extra level of control over how my reverb sounds by adjusting the dumbleator.
But that is just me.
