Just put up a youtube audio sample of my recent build, its a Brown Note 44 clone with added 2 tube spring reverb. The reverb disengages when the overdrive channel is engaged at the 20 sec mark. The short 3 spring pan rests in the head cabinet. I managed to position it just right so that the hiss is all gone, this took some experimenting but in the end the red cable far away from the power transformer was the way to go.
I did the recording in my garage on a cold Feb day . Got to get me a heater! My OD trim was set to 30K. I used a SM57 mic plugged into my Golden age pre 73 mic preamp and from there the recording was stored on a zoom mic. No effects just guitar cable into the amp. Amp is running a Hammond 1750N output trans.
My playing has a long way to go but anyway here is the clip!

Trainwreck Express build is up next, just got all the pieces together this week.
Cheers.
