I'm glad you said that - I'd forgotten about using NFB to "showcase" low end. On the back burner I'm building a bass amp for a guy who loves the boomy very bassy sound and I have an extra hole in the chassis for another control. I'm trying to remember what I've worked on in the past that used this(I think it was even called "resonance"), I'll have to search through some old schematics.ayan wrote: Someone mentioned getting a bottom end "boost," for which you do the analogous of the presence control arrangement. Instead of a cap to ground to decouple of the highs from the NFB loop, you put a cap in series with the feedabck wire to decouple the lows form the NFB loop. You can start with a .005uF cap, and if you put a pot (wired as a variable resistor) in parallel with it, you can take it out of the loop and have a "resonance" control.

Here's one heisthl.

Even if the PI had no gain, I meant because we're talking about a feedback loop system.jelle wrote: Is this because the phase inverter has gain and is in the loop?

Thanks for the schematic - while searching for "resonance" on the web I came across this:

I wonder if the Dumble sandwich helps or hurts?
