I'm glad you said that - I'd forgotten about using NFB to "showcase" low end. On the back burner I'm building a bass amp for a guy who loves the boomy very bassy sound and I have an extra hole in the chassis for another control. I'm trying to remember what I've worked on in the past that used this(I think it was even called "resonance"), I'll have to search through some old schematics.

Even if the PI had no gain, I meant because we're talking about a feedback loop system.
