head cab questions

Getting ready to cut out wood for head cab. I don't have a good understanding for how the horizontal pieces of wood that go right under the chassis get attached. Are they just held in by screws from the outside for easy removal?

Also, how do you go about attaching the grill cloth?.

I dato the cross piece in and I have cleats that attach the grill cloth covered piece like a speaker baffle for the front of the amp but the screws go in from the backside so you don's see them. Hope that helps.
