A good looking pair for sure. They are different, but what is your feeling about 100W vs. 50W power? I only have one D-type amp, a 100W ODS, but it is very controllable, and capable of producing very good tones at moderate volume.

Martin,

well it's hard to compare in so much as the tones are so different.

the Bluesmaster and EVM combo seems incredibly loud compared to the 102/celestion combo.

Obviously the EVM is an incredibly efficient speaker so that adds to the level too.

The clean on the BM is very sparkly and has 'girth' which I put down to the 100w. The OD seems to go a bit flat if you turn the master down to an 'acceptable' level in the studio. Maybe the clarity and power handling of the EV doesn't suit a great OD sound? not sure, early days yet.

I have been trying it out with a strat by the way, need to try the tele in the picture, regular tele and my 335.

I know where this is heading.........

clean sound from the BM....OD from the 102 :)

no ones managed to make an amp combining the two.
