Build In Progress- D-Clone Modded Preamp

Post by SilverFox »

Build started of the schematic found here. Now that I've got a substantial portion built I guess it's time to ask: Is this schematic correct and did the build sound good? Initially I'm only going to build the preamp as I've got a couple power amps sitting around. I'm about to start wiring the pots and switches in and have a few questions:

Will it be okay to bundle all the control and switch wires together in one run or will that lead to, snap, crackle, pop, feed back and other noises?

If I decide to build an output section, I've got an old Magnavox power amp that runs EL84's in a cathodyne configuration I believe. The PT transformer in this preamp chassis in the pictures, is from a Kustom Defender; This PT powered an 10 watt EL84 single ended amp and should be rated at about 50 ma on the HT. I'm believing it could power the PP output circuit from the Magnavox if I decided to add the OT from that circuit.
