Bob, I had a sleepless night and saw what Mark wrote, it was nothing pertaining to jelle's thread. That's it.Bob Simpson wrote:...?Cameron wrote:...

I almost always find your comments offensive. You would not have built your Tweedle Dee if it weren't for Charlie. No one would have. You take as much as Nik or anyone else for that matter, but somehow what Nik does with the information is worse than what you do with it?67plexi wrote:I'm sure Jelle is telling the truth. The Fender 6G3 it's a great amp to start with. I own amps I would never show the world.
And if you think about it why should it be Nik's new amp of the month.
I was just reading your post from Mar 28th 2015jelle wrote:Yeah, I really think I did.![]()
It is a 62 brown Deluxe. It has been retolexed and whoever did it sure did a nice job on it. I do not want to post gut shots but in the spirit of the forum I will say that inside is pretty much stock and some caps are changed for orange drops. Speaker is an Oxford Alnico.
Sure, I really thought I was clear enough in my initial post on it, but here is the schematic of the amp. Please compare that to my posts in this thread and let us know!Tubetastic wrote:I was just reading your post from Mar 28th 2015jelle wrote:Yeah, I really think I did.![]()

David Lindley concerning this topic:jelle wrote:I feel it sounds like a 70s Dumble in certain aspects.
jelle wrote:The 70s amps are less compressed, bolder, the mids pop out in a musical way and have a lot of extremely clear top end that just screams in the right hands.
A comparison (same player):jelle wrote: ... a first generation ODS. The one I have played sounded like that. Raw and compressed. Very cool amp.

Yes, please see my description and the schematic.lovetone wrote:So trying to understand what this is all about,
This Deluxe has had a few components replaced with the same values ?
