You can very easily add a PAB (preamp boost), mid-boost and NFB switch.

All 3 of these will each add some "hair" to the tone. I think this may be an easy resolution for you.

Ok, I tried all suggest you made me.

PAB...I dont like, its a strange sound.

NFB. I tried to put a 100k potenciometer in series with 3k3 resistor, puting the pot at half, I can take some hair sound, I like it.
Also I add a switch and also I like the effect when nfb is off

Midle switch I like also have this option.

Now I am trying this:I win a little more gain i like it.
Any idea to use the other half tube with another stage without losing the tone?

You have many options here. These are just a few to consider.

Since you have a cathode follower now, use it as the send to an FX and then the other triode as a recovery.

OR ............ use something more typical and have an OD gain stage.

OR ........... if you don't want a traditional OD section and want something that still adds "hair", then you could try one of these OD ideas which I have used successfully on several amps.

I dont posted the Fx loop that iam using.

I am using a buffered fx loop with two stage.one for send, and one for
return
I have two options. Use the version that you post with one stage cathode followet between my " gain" and level, and other for the return of the Fx loop.

Or spend two stage in the fx loop. and one on the cathode followet that I posted, but a have one more to spend

In this amp I dont need overdrive, How I can spend the other half of tube?

you could swap the pots out for higher value ones. less signal to ground = more gain

Hi again,

One week later, and some tests, I spend a half tube in a cathode folloer for take some more gain. Now the sound is amasing!

But I spend half tube from the send of the fx loop.
Now I only have one triode for the Fx loop.

I put the fx send in series with the level, and I put the triode for the return but I have lot lees volumen and lose lot of tone.

Anyone know how can I make a good fx loop with only one stage?

Thanks!!!!!!!

I am NOT sure if I am understanding your question correctly??

On this amp (schematic shown), I am essentially using the cathode follower as the FX send ................... then a separate triode for the FX return.

I love the way it sounds! It originally had a more traditional D'Lator type approach with a separate triode for FX send.

Sorry for my english!L
look the schematic
In the first schematic I build two week ago, I used only 2 stage for the preamp, 2 stage for FX loop, and 2 stage for the PI.

I moded the schematic and I used the stage of SEND for win some gain. And I put a passive send inthe cathode of the last stage of preamp.

Now I have volumen problems whe I put effects in the Fx loop

I correct some erros in the previous schematic

Can you see any more errors, which makes the sound down when the Fx loop is used?

For even more fun, make the NFB variable. Add a pot in the NFB line, then you can adjust the gain of the PA and it will add a LOT of touch to the amp.

Yes, this is a cool and useful mod. A while ago, I worked on a Deluxe Reverb that had a pot out back for NFB. With a little more resistance (less feedback) the amp gets more hairy in a very musical way.
