Aluminum skirted knobs???

Post by amplifiednation »

Hey guys, does anyone know where to source these aluminum skirted knobs? I can find them in different sizes at Tayda and 4site...but not the right diameter yet.

I'm looking for 30mm

Thx

I usually get these from Newark, is this what you're looking for?

I have the 29.2 ones, mine from Indonesia I think, they are fine and dandy for a few cents each. :)

Years back I turned Brandon onto that 113 knob as a cheaper alternative to the actual ALCO. It's decent knob for the price, but buy 50 to get 45 good ones.

I could not find the correct size Alco knobs years ago so ended up with the ebay B113 because it was all I could find. I don't have a amp selling business so if I do sell they're getting cheap knobs to go with cheap buying prices usually offered. :)

Except my Trainwreck knobs are high quality Davies.

Last time I looked the actual ALCO knob was just over $8 a pop from Mouser. Not sure if he decided to use that knob or not, but the actual ALCO knob is better in quality, but for for a couple of quarters the far east knob is a heck of bargain compared to the ALCO.

I've been getting some pedal knobs in the same style from Thailand, they are only $.45 and it's the same deal, you toss a few...but it's worth it. I wonder if the Newark knobs are better quality at $3 a pop. I'll probably get them both...I will report back
